Alicia (Alice) Blanchard Kaufman Knox was born in 1927 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Alicia grew up in Salem, OR, after arriving from Montana in 1936.
Alicia was blessed with many talents and enjoyed all of them. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining; she was an average golfer who won her clubs' championship at The Springs Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA, in 1987. She was also a professional watercolorist, having sold many paintings.
Alicia taught modeling for the Patricia Lee modeling agency in Portland, OR, and teenage charm classes for the Bon Marche in Eugene, OR in the 50s and 60s.
Alicia married Wendell Kaufman in 1960 in Eugene, OR. They moved to California in 1964 and owned automobile dealerships in Sacramento and Fresno, CA, retiring in 1980 to Black Butte Ranch, OR, and Rancho Mirage, CA. He preceded her in death in 1996.
In 1999 Alicia married Kenneth Knox and continued living at Black Butte Ranch and in Rancho Mirage, leading the activity lifestyle she loved. In 2021 they moved back to Salem, OR, where he preceded her in death in September of 2022.
Alicia was not a member of any church but loved the Lord and attended many churches but felt particularly at peace and the love of God at Chapel of the Pines at Camp Sherman.
Alicia will be remembered by her son Gary Warrick and his wife, Christina Lozano, of Portland; two granddaughters, Heather (Trevore) Miller and Brek Boehmer of Salem; four great-grandchildren, Jakob (Alton) Miller and Caitlin Miller, Cody Boehmer, and Bailey Boehmer, and one great-great-granddaughter Rian Miller all of Salem, Oregon.
