Audell Miller

December 21, 1923 — December 15, 2014

Audell Miller, 90, of Oregon City passed away with a room full of loved ones by her side on Monday, December 15, 2014.

She was born in Ackerman, MS, on December 21, 1923 to John and Onnie Woodard. She was the 8thof 12 children born.

Audell grew up and graduated from high school in Longview, MS.

She married Colbie Miller in 1942, in Starkville, MS and they had 4 children. Several of Audell's siblings had moved to Oregon, so they decided to follow and moved here in 1972. She worked at Fairview Hospital in Food Service until she retired in the Spring of 1986.

Audell was a very kind and loving person. She always put others first even if it meant she would do without. She loved having family and friends around her and spending time with them. She enjoyed having her grandkids come to visit and spending the night with her.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening, shopping, going to garage sales, playing dominoes and yahtzee, playing bingo, dancing, country music, and most recently playing bean bag baseball on the Madrona Ridge Runners. She also loved to cook. Everyone loved for Audell to cook one of her "Southern" meals for them. She loved to fish, so after moving to Oregon, she enjoyed taking fishing trips to the Snake River. In later years, she wouldn't say no to a Casino trip either.

Audell is survived by her daughter, Betty Fonville of Hillsboro, daughter Linda (Ken) Tunnell of Salem, son Ed (Carol) Miller of Turner, and son Randy (Geri) Miller of Keizer; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 5 great- great grandchildren; sister Ethel Lee Roach of Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 granddaughters, and 10 siblings.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec 22 at 1:30 PM at Restlawn Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
