SALEM - Betsy C. Crick passed away in Salem on March 17, 2011.
Betsy Christina Crick was born to parents Carl and Lenore Hemmick Ogren on Feb. 19, 1932 in Wichata, Kansas. Betsy attended school in Wichata before moving to Oregon in the 1940's where she graduated from Mulino High. Shortly after graduation she joined the United State Marines Corp where she served at Camp Pendleton, California. Betsy married Kenneth Doyle Crick in January of 1953, the couple raised 3 children. The family lived in the Buena Vista and Salem area. Betsy worked for the State of Oregon as a Benefits Specialist in the Workers Comp. Division before retiring after 17 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Cherie Eder of Mount Angel; sons, Rick Crick of Gresham and Clarence Crick of Dallas; along with 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 11 a.m. in Restlawn Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Restlawn Funeral Home, Salem, Oregon.
