Betty Taylor Ivie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Taylor Ivie, who died on January 29, 2023 at the age of 88. Betty was born on August 20, 1934 in Goldsboro, NC to her parents, Isaac and Annie Taylor.
Betty is survived by her three children, Steve, Pattie, and Robin, her six grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, who all loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and her husband, Richard Ivie, and brothers, Halbert Taylor and Norman Taylor.
Betty had a passion for travel and loved exploring new places and cultures. She was also known for her sweet tooth and always dressed to impress with accessories to match. Betty was an active member of her church and found great comfort and joy in her faith. She was a kind and generous person who always had a smile on her face and never hesitated to help others in need.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Cornerstone Church on Friday, February 17th at 11:30. All those who knew and loved Betty are invited to attend to pay their respects and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the church in Betty's memory.
Betty will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Her kindness, love, and infectious spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
