Bonnie Walz passed away on her 70th wedding anniversary at Lancaster Village in Salem, Oregon. Bonnie was born in Nehalem, Oregon. She grew up in the Salem and Silver Hills area and attended Salem High School.
On October 19, 1946 Bonnie married the love of her life, Larry Walz. The lived in Klamath Falls, Albany, Tillamook, and finally settled in Salem in 1952. Bonnie worked for the State Farm Regional office in Salem, Oregon for 26 years until she retired.
Bonnie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed camping, gardening, crocheting, traveling around the United States, cooking, and genealogy.
Bonnie was proceeded in death by her husband Lawrence Walz, granddaughter Melissa Walz, great-grandson Cody Watson, and sister Betty Drury.
Bonnie will be greatly missed by her daughter Suzan (Robert) Rempel , son Jim (Carolyn)Walz, and daughter Janice (Dave) Jensen. Six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren , and two great-great grandchildren.
