Brian Timothy Burr

March 10, 1971 — May 2, 2012

Brian Timothy "Tim" Burr was born March 10, 1971 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He spent his first 2 years in Massachusetts, after which the family moved to Kent, WA. In spite of being termed "legally blind" his accomplishments were many. He attended Star Lake Elementary, Totem Junior High and Thomas Jefferson High Schools, graduating in 1989. During high school, while working at Rose's Highway Inn, he developed a love for cooking and food which continued throughout his life. He would play with recipes and different ingredients to create new flavors and tastes to share with family and friends. After high school, he developed a passion for information technology. He pursued an education with various degrees in that field, which later developed into him owning and operating his own business, CTS Tactics Inc. While developing his computer skills, he met his ex-wife Jessica Mayabb. They fell in love and were married for 9 years before getting divorced. Afterwards, he moved to Salem, OR for a fresh start.
Tim died unexpectedly on May 2, 2012. He is survived by his parents Bob and Gerry Burr of Lowell, OR, sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Chris Osborn of Maple Valley, WA, sister and brother-in law Bevin and Shawn Findley of Salem, OR, nieces Delilah Osborn and Genia Findley, and many more extended family and friends.
Some things that he was known for were: loud heavy metal music, playing his guitar and spending time with his buddies. One fond memory that the family holds dear is Dad taking Tim to a KISS concert at the age of 8. Tim loved the music; Dad needed ear plugs! On our many camping trips Tim would always volunteer to be in charge of the campfire. In spite of this, the forests still remain intact.
Tim, we will miss you, you have left a whole in our family which we can never fill.
Longing For One More Day "When we lose someone we love it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence... a quiet sadness... A longing for one more day... one more word... one more touch... We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. We will see you again some day, in a heavenly place where there is no parting. A place where there are no words that mean good-bye."
"Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy the laughter the smiles. I've only gone to rest for a while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me not as I am but as I used to be. Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts I've only gone to rest a while. As long as I have the love of you I can live my life in the hearts of all of you."
