It is with great sadness that we share the passing of or mother, grandmother and dear friend. Cathy was born in 1934 to Harold and Gertrude Connary in Los Angeles, California. She married Edward ‘Ed’ Smith and the family relocated to Stayton, Oregon in 1971. She worked in a variety of industries, but she most enjoyed working at Park N Shop and Girods grocery stores. Cathy eventually divorced Ed and later married Mansel ‘Mac’ McNichols. She relocated to California with Mac for several years and then happily moved back to Oregon to settle in Dallas. She lived there until 2019 when she moved to Marion Estates in Sublimity, Oregon living independently and enjoying visiting with her friends and family. Cathy is survived by her daughter Theresa VanDusen (Larry), and Sons; Michael Smith (Vicky) and Mark Smith (Valerie). Also mourning her loss are her grandchildren: Pamela, Stacey, Shawn, Tony, Michael, Jeremy and Savannah. Words cannot express how much we all miss you.
