Clarence Edward "Ed" Cutsinger, 86, passed away peacefully at the Tokarski Hospice home in West Salem, on1-25-2012 at 1:00 PM, surrounded by his beloved wife of 52 years, Ann and his 2 daughters, Sharon and Laura.

Ed was born to Charles Riley and Augusta (Hahn) Cutsinger on 4-24-1925. He grew up on his Uncle Herman's farm on Quinaby Road just outside of Salem. He worked in the shipyards during World War II, was a painting contractor in Salem and later owned and operated a motel with his wife, Ann, in Lincoln City, Oregon.
He was a Godly, humble, hard-working man who loved his family and was loved by all. He loved gardening - especially his tomatoes. He enjoyed feeding wild birds; riding his bicycle through the neighborhood; and fishing. To his family he left a shining example of hard-work, love of God, and personal integrity. His quick-witted humor and colorful insights of life enlarged our souls. Services will be at the Restlawn Memory Gardens at 11:00 AM on February 2, 2012, officiated by Pastor Gordon Bergman. Viewing will be from 9:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in honor of Ed's desire to help those in need. God Bless.
