Clifford "Cliff" R. Angdahl July 24, 1919-June 17, 2011
Albany- Formerly of Salem, Cliff passed away Friday evening in Albany. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa to Clarence and Mildred (Hull) Angdahl. He joined the Navy in 1938 where he served during both World War II and Korea. He retired in 1971. Cliff married Genevieve Nickoloff on March 13, 1940. She passed away on April 7, 1997. Cliff and Genevieve both resided in Salem for 22 years. During these 22 years, they were very active as Camp Host with the Oregon State Parks. Cliff eventually moved to Albany in 2003 and was currently residing at the Villas of Albany Retirement Home. Survivors include his son, Carl R. Angdahl; daughter, Sharon E. Young; brother, Dale Angdahl; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren also survive him. In addition to being preceded in death by his wife, Cliff's parents also predeceased him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 at Restlawn Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
