Clovis E. Gibson

October 19, 1943 — December 21, 2014

My sweet Gentle Giant, as he is known, went to be with his Savior, Jesus of Nazareth. He was an amazing Husband and I will love him forever. He is loved and cherished by many: His children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many, many friends. His life was one great big adventure. He was a Mountain Man with many stories of his time in the Alaskan wilderness. He was a Pilot. He was a Police Officer in California and Oregon. He was an expert Marksman, Hunter and Fisherman. He was a musician and Vocalist. He was a Business Owner. He was in Construction work and used to say he knew everything there was to know about dirt and had the dirt moving skills to prove it. His big beautiful hands were like a graceful dancer across the controls of a brush cutter when he cleared the forest roads. He loved to be in the woods picking wild mushrooms and enjoyed the hunt almost more than the finding. He was an amazing Story Teller and wrote down many of his experiences. He was born in a log cabin in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was proud of his heritage as a Choctaw Indian and is a Member of the Choctaw Nation. Most of all he is and wants to be remembered as a Mighty Warrior for Jesus. He fought the Good Fight and WON THE RACE! He was able to hear the words of Jesus when he entered Heaven's Gates saying "Well done thou good and faithful Servant." We love you Clovis, Papa "C" forever and ever.
