Connie M. Weldon-Montero passed away July 14th 2020 in her home in Salem Oregon. She was born December 13th 1957 in Oxnard California to Cleon Weldon and Betty Lou Jackson. She was a loving mother of two children whom she dedicated her life to and was truly a beautiful selfless person who touched the lives of countless people. Connie started her career with the Government at a young age, first in South Dakota at Flandreau Indian school then moving on to Intermountain Indian school in Utah, and then finally finding her home in Oregon at Chemawa Indian school where she worked up until the time of her passing. During her time at Chemawa she found her true passion of helping people through union work, she went on to become Vice President of the Fise union. She is survived by her two children Destiny Gonzalez and Jericho Weldon, two sisters Debbie Martinez and Laurie Weldon-Pineda, multiple nieces and nephews along with many great-nieces and great-nephews all of whom she loved and cared for unconditionally throughout her life. Connie was a force to be reckoned with, she was a breast cancer survivor and will be remembered by all for her strength and independence. She will also be remembered for her love to dance and sing wherever she went. She will be missed by all.
