Dale F. Martin

KEIZER - Dale F. Martin, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2010. He was born in Pea Ridge, Arkansas to Frank & Gertrude Martin on August 19, 1924. He is survived by Vera May, his wife of 63 years and his four children: Dave Martin of Keizer, OR, Sue Hansen of Milwaukie, OR, Vicki Vulgas of Ellensburg, WA and Frank Martin of Pacific, WA. Dale had 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren (and 2 on the way). Dale served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. He raised his family in Salem, OR and was a member of the South Salem Church of Christ, where he served as an elder. Dale worked as a service repairman at Hogg Bros. for 20 years and an HVAC technician at Chemeketa Community College for 15 years. Dale will be remembered by his compassion and willingness to help others and to his family as the guy who could fix anything. Dale was a friendly guy with a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. A private family graveside service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
