Keizer - DeNae Anderson passed away Sunday, September 15th after a tiring battle with cancer.
DeNae was born to her parents Vivian & Joe Reuter in Dickinson, ND. They relocated to Salem, OR where she graduated from Salem HS in 1954. DeNae married Lyle Anderson, her husband of 56 years, on Jan. 25, 1957. They moved to Creswell, Oregon where DeNae worked for Creswell School District in a few temporary positions prior to becoming the District Payroll Clerk, a position she retired from in 1991 after 21 years.
DeNae had many interests to fill her retirement years. They returned to Keizer to be closer to family which she enjoyed often and she was always up for a night of cards/games, a trip to Reno or a weekend at the beach to watch the waves. No matter where DeNae went she loved meeting and getting to know new people and they loved meeting her.
DeNae is survived by her husband: Lyle Anderson, daughter and son-in-law: Kris & Bruce Kahler, and granddaughter: Kari Kahler, all of Keizer, OR.
A gathering to celebrate DeNae's life will be held at Thursday, October 3, 1 pm, at Town & Country Lanes in Keizer, OR. Arrangements are by Restlawn Funeral Home. Memories and condolences at RestlawnFH.com.
