Donna Marie Fowler

Donna Marie Fowler was born in Portland Oregon on September 1, 1935, to Frank and Mary Kron and passed away January 13th, 2023, in Salem, Oregon.
The Family lived in Portland during WW2. The family then moved to the Salem area where her parents operated Kron’s Peach orchard on Wallace Road in Salem.
Donna attended the Brush College Grade School. Many times, she had the honor ringing the school bell. Being very short the principle had to lift her up to reach the rope of the bell.
She graduated from Salem Senior High School (now North Salem High School) in 1954. While attending High School she met Jim Fowler, the love of her life.
She attended Merritt Davis School of Commerce and graduated in 1955 In Secretary Science. She then was employed as a typist at Marion County Welfare Office.
She married Jim Fowler in 1956. They had two children, Dan in 1958 and Lori in 1961. After Dan was born, she was ‘stay at home housewife and mother.
She loved her family, enjoyed working in her garden and the Atlanta Braves. Never meeting a stranger and her ever present smile she had many dear lifelong friends.
Donna is survived by her husband Jim of sixty-six years. Son, Dan Fowler, daughter in law Susan; Daughter, Lori Fowler-Peterson and son in law Roger. Five Grandchildren, Michelle Fewell, Chris Peterson, Patrick Matthis, Nick Fowler and Hayden Peterson. Four great grandchildren; Madison, Alice, Maddox and Hazel.
A celebration of life will take place Friday January 27th at 3:00pm at Restlawn Funeral Home 201 Oak Grove Road NW, Salem OR 97304
