Dorothy Marie Baue Adams, formerly of West Salem, died January 24, 2013 after an extended illness. She was born June 16, 1926 in Genoa, Nebraska the second child of Arthur Claire Baue and Maria Barbara Ditter. She attended schools in Genoa and Monroe. Her parents divorced in 1934. Both parents later remarried. She graduated from Genoa High School in 1943. In 1944 she moved to Oregon. She worked for the Salem dentist Waldemar Heringer from 1945 to 1952 as a dental assistant. In 1951 she married Ammon Adams of West Salem. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. After a medical emergency in September 2009, she moved to Dallas Retirement Village. She was a longtime member of the United Church of God. She is survived by her husband Ammon Adams, her three children Kyle (aka Lynn) of Damascus, Lori Mangold of Beaverton and Robert of Gresham, two sisters Gayle Hemmer and Ellen Vetick of Omaha, a sister in law Lorraine Baue of Fullerton, five grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Robert A. Baue and Gary Baue and a sister Ruth Hollatz. A funeral service will be held Thursday January 31, 2013 at Restlawn Funeral Home, 201 Oak Grove Rd NW, Salem. Viewing at 11 am, service at noon, a reception following the service.
