EDMOND (ED) LEE WOODWARD JR, 53 of Salem, Oregon passed away at home on October 20, 2016.
Ed was born in Bryn Mawr, Pa, on February 7, 1963 to Edmond and Carol Woodward.
Ed grew up in Kennett Square, Pa before he relocated to Oregon.
Ed served 3 years in the United States Army and was stationed in Bamberg Germany. When he left the service, he went to work for his father's Tree Service/Landscaping Company, "Woodward Tree Service", where he quickly became one of the best climbers in the industry. He won the first place award in the climbing event at the annual tree climbers Jamboree.
Ed enjoyed playing softball (#44) with his brothers & friends. He was a pitcher with exceptional fielding skills. When he was on the pitching mound, his opponents quickly learned the "middle is always closed". He also enjoyed golfing with his brothers any chance he could get. Ed also enjoyed fishing and 4 wheeling in Oregon with his friends. He was an Eagles fan & he also loved "DA Bears" of Chicago.
Ed also worked on the docks at A. Duie Pyle Inc., in Kennett Square.
Ed moved to Oregon when his daughter Alexis was born.

Ed loved his Daughter, Alexis Woodward, dearly and enjoyed watching her grow up.
Ed also loved hanging out with his dog "best friend" Sierra.
Ed was preceded in death by his maternal grandparent, Marie I. Holmes of Florida, and his paternal grandparents, Flossie and George Woodward of Newtown Square, Pa.
Survivors include: his loving daughter, Alexis Woodward, of Oregon; his parents, Carol Woodward of Bradenton, Florida and Ed Woodward of Kennett Square, Pa; Grandfather, Robert R Holmes (100 years old) of Bradenton Florida; his brothers, Steven (Glaucia) Woodward of Bradenton, Florida, Michael (Angie) Woodward of Kennett Square Pa, sister, Theresa Woodward-Lawton of Linwood, Pa, Step-sister, Heidi Detwiler of Kennett Square, Pa; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, 6 nieces: Shayna, Felicia, Nicole, Carlea, Gabriella & Kaelani & 4 nephews: Vincent Jr, Leonard Jr. Zachery & Nathan.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held on November 13 at 1:00pm, at Herb Pennock Memorial Field, Kennett Sq. PA. There will be a private burial service with the family in Bradenton Florida on December 2 at 11:00am.
