Eddie was born in Springfield, OR, to Gareld Lee Wheeler and Lydia ("Lyda") Jean Dillard Wheeler. He joined the Army in 1979 and served as an Infantryman for two years. He was decorated as a Rifle Marksmen. Eddie married Tricia Rhoads on 04-17-1993 in Sublimity, OR.
He was preceded death by his mother "Lyda" May 09, 2012. Eddie is survived by his wife, Tricia, of the home; father, Gareld of Keizer, OR; step-son, Michael Rhoads of Stayton, OR; daughter and son-in law, ShaLayn and Tim Bruce, grandchildren Natalie and Isaac Bruce of Portland, OR; sister, Tessie Wheeler; niece Contessa Wheeler and nephew, Michael Wheeler of Keizer, OR.
Eddie loved Tricia, hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, riding motorcycles, and life. Eddie is loved and will be missed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Restlawn Funeral Home in Salem, Oregon. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
