In the early 1950s, she graduated high school and started working in England, where she learned to speak the English language. She returned home and later met Ted Morehouse, a U.S. soldier stationed nearby her hometown. They were married, and Ted was reassigned back to the States, landing in Atlanta, Georgia. Lisa and Ted were blessed with a son, Eric.
They were divorced and she ended up living and working in southern California, near her sisters Erika and Lydia. In 1990 she moved to Salem, Oregon to be close to her sister Erika who had moved there with her family. She worked making cinnamon rolls for Izzy’s Pizza Restaurant and was a cook at Capital Manor.
In 1990 she joined Keizer Eagles Auxiliary #3895. She loved competing in the Halloween costume contest and once won with a costume that had a face on the back of her head. She particularly loved the “50s” dances with poodle skirts and bobby sox. She celebrated her birthday annually by having a party and inviting her sister and friends. She is survived by her son, Eric, of Bend; sister Lydia Thomas of California; nephews Ron Samperi, Salem and Michael Thomas, California; and niece Heidi Turk, California.
