Evelyn D. Christenson

Evelyn Dorothy Mae Christenson, age 81, left us with her family by her side. Evelyn married the love of her life, Elmer Christenson, in 1948 in Silverton, Oregon. They made their home in Salem, Ore. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Elmer of 62 years; daughters, Cathy (Phil), Debbie; sons, Rick (Terry) and Lonny; grandchildren, Nicolle, Annette (Mike), Jenifer (Josh), Deana (Kevin), Dominic (Anne); and great-grandchildren, Allison, Colby, Max, Zachary, Matt, Courtney, Brianna, Hunter, Kenny, Natalie, Kraig, Kaden, Kohen, Sierra and Grace. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, rock hunting, gardening and fishing. Nanny enjoyed going to the beach and having family gatherings at their home. Our family has been blessed to have Nanny with us for so many years. The memories will go on with us. Her love for us was obvious to the end. Some of her last words were, "I love you, too." There will be a celebration of life from 1 - 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Residence, 5737 Ibex St. NE, Salem, Ore.
