Floyd Arthur Mosgrove, 91, of Salem, Oregon, passed away on May 3 rd , 2020. Floyd was born on
December 14 th , 1928 in Mason City, Nebraska to Arthur Raymond Mosgrove and Mae Sophia Mosgrove.
When Floyd was 8 years old, the family moved to Dayton, Oregon. He graduated from Dayton High
School in 1947, with a total graduating class of 19. After high school, Floyd went to work for Alderman
Farms in Dayton. In 1955, he began working as an Operating Engineer for Meier and Frank, in Salem,
Oregon, where he worked for more than 35 years.
Floyd married Aileen Ruth Hanner on June 21 st , 1957 in Salem, Oregon. Together, they raised three
children, and were married for more than 50 years. Floyd was a loving father, grandfather, and great
grandfather, with a wonderful sense of humor. Family and friends could always count on hearing a few
good jokes while spending time with him. He enjoyed working in his basement shop and was skilled at
repairing almost anything that was presented to him. He worked tirelessly to maintain the family home,
inside and out, which he built, with the help of family members and friends. Floyd was also a man of strong faith and was a member of Salem First
Baptist Church, where he enjoyed attending services and socializing with friends.
Floyd is survived by his children, Pamela Mosgrove McLaughlin, Denise Mosgrove Steinbach and Terry
Mosgrove; grandchildren, Sabrina Mosgrove Harden, Emily Steinbach and William Steinbach; great
grandchild, Ariana Mosgrove; siblings, Robert Mosgrove and Royce Mosgrove. Floyd is preceded in
death by his wife, Aileen Mosgrove and brother, Barry Mosgrove.
