Frank Brandvold passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 27, 2023.
He was a beloved husband, father, and friend to many. Frank was born in Seattle, Washington on August 23, 1944, and grew up in Bend and Prineville Oregon. He spent most summers at his grandmother and grandfather’s farm in Sweet Home Oregon and learned to love taking care of the animals and living off the land. These were some of his fondest memories of his childhood.
He attended Crook County High School and participated in many sports and activities. After graduation, he enlisted in the army and served as a Medic at Ft. Belvoir Hospital in Virginia and attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He moved back to the Pacific Northwest and started a job in programmable calculator sales which led to an illustrious career of over 40 years in high technology sales and senior executive management positions. He was known for his friendly and energetic style and ability to recruit and motivate his teams to consistently outperform and exceed their sales goals year after year. His career took him all over the country, but he always returned to his beloved Northwest.
His passions were spending time, coaching team sports, listening, and guiding his children and enjoying outings with friends and family. Golfing, boating, fishing, and crabbing were his favorite pastimes. He was also a passionate lover of animals and enjoyed raising many kittens and puppies throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Lou Huff and Don Brandvold and is lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years Alexis, his children Todd, Tim, Tonja, and Ashley as well as 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in early summer for family and friends to share our stories and memories.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Oregon Humane Society in his memory.
