Gary was born to Gary R. Rue Sr. and Judy (Edwards) Rue on September 7, 1972 in Yreka, California. He was raised in the community of Hornbrook, California and Graduated from Yreka High School in 1991. Gary especially enjoyed playing Football for Yreka HS.
While living in Hornbrook, Gary was an EMT with the Fire Department, involved with the Rodeo and was Chief Mechanic and Cheerleader for his mother's destruction derby cars.
Gary joined the Job Corps where he refined his mechanical skills. He relocated to the Salem area where he worked for Fisher Implement/ Pape as a John Deere Mechanic. He was considered to be one of the best small engine technicians in Oregon.
Gary never met a stranger. He had a personality that would fill all outdoors!
Gary was known as: Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Friend and Coach.
Gary coached his daughter's Softball teams as well as his son's football team.
Gary is survived by his Wife: Angela L Rue, Daughter Tera Rue, Son Kody Rue, Step-Son Cody Hale, all from Salem. His Mother Judy Rue, Brother Joe Rue from Hornbrook, California, Nephew Brian Rue of Beaverton, Or and a multitude of friends. His Father Gary and Brother Michael predeceased him.
The family is grateful to Dr. Bud Pierce and his associates for their care and compassion thru this journey of Pancreatic Cancer.
