George Harry Robinson, 86 of Salem Oregon was called home on March 18, 2021. George’s sunrise began in Pocatello Idaho on January 25, 1935 to Harry & Elnora “Peggy” Robinson. George was the eldest brother of twin sisters, Jean and Joan (both deceased), married to Carol Carothers from 1957 to 1976 (deceased) and remarried on April 29, 1977 to Donna Spengler. George was a graduate of the North Salem High School and enlisted in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1955. He served his time repairing airplanes at NAAS Fallon in Nevada, and was honorably discharged in November of 1960.When his enlistment ended, George went on to work for his father’s family business in well drilling. George then opened his first well drilling business in the 1950’s. George loved the Lord. He became a Seventh-Day Adventist in 1960 where he set out to build structures and provide running water for many of Salem’s Adventist churches and businesses. George also traveled the world as a missionary for the SDA church, ministering in places such as Mexico, Central America, India, and Africa. Everywhere George went, he brought the message of God, provided help and clean running water to those in need. George is survived by his spouse, Donna Robinson, his two sons; Robin Robinson and Timothy Robinson; his adopted daughter Rebecca “Becky” Robinson and four stepchildren, Theresa Spengler Mele, Michael Spengler (deceased), Ronald Spengler and Suzanne Spengler Bustamante. George also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that will have him forever in their hearts. A funeral service will be at 3 pm; Saturday, April 3 at the Salem Central SDA Church, 1330 Summer St, NE, Salem Ore. In lieu of flowers, the family requests be made in the name of George H. Robinson to the American Heart Association- American Heart Association
