Gloria E. Hoffman

September 8, 1924 — March 11, 2014

SALEM - Gloria was born in Ione, Oregon to Roy and Juanita Stender. She moved to Salem at the age of 6 and remained here until her death. She graduated from Salem High School in 1941 and attended business school.

In 1953 she married Raymond Hoffman and they were married 52 years. Primarily a homemaker, she also worked for the State Fire marshal, former governor Robert Holmes, Salem Printing and Blueprint, and local canneries.

She was a charter member and 72 year member of Trinity Chapter OES. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and former member of Judson Baptist and First Christian church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, George Stender. She is survived by her daughter, Waunda (Harlow) Kibbey, of Boise, ID, and sons, Gordon (Janice) and Bruce (Donna) Hoffman all of Salem; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cedar Village for years of gentle, loving care. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 17 at Restlawn Funeral Home. Interment at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
