Gwen Miller was born in Warroad Minnesota on Sept 13, 1937 to Joseph and Ellen Weisenhaus. Gwen was 4th of nine brothers and sisters. Gwen met Joe Miller her husband of 63 years in Portland Oregon, at a dance. She later moved to California to be with Joe. They wed on October 5, 1958 and started a family with three children. They had numerous business ventures in California, Oregon and Montana. They raised their family along the way. Gwen worked for school districts in every state she lived in. She worked in elementary schools, middle/high schools as well as colleges. She enjoyed interaction with children of all ages.
Gwen retired in Woodburn. Not long after retirement she was diagnosed with Macular Eye Degeneration. She did not let that stop her adventurous spirit and continued to travel all the way up to 2 months before she passed. She was not one to pass up an adventure. She loved to knit and bake. She baked cakes, cookies and pies for all. She liked old cars and trucks, loved tent camping and loved walking at the beach. She enjoyed giving people a hard time and joke around. She had a great sense of humor.
Gwen loved the lord God our savior and attended many different churches on her earthly journey.
Gwen was an exceptionally loving woman. She had unconditional love for all she met, family, friend or complete stranger. Her love for the lord and family showed in her actions every day.
Gwen was preceded in death by her husband Joe Edward Miller Jr as well as her son Joe Edward Miller III.
Gwen is survived by her son Michael R Miller and daughter Betty (James) Fulton. Sister Ida (Richard) Prewitt, brother Virgil (Betty) Weisenhaus, brother Allen D Weisenhaus.
Gwen leaves behind numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
