Harold Jennings Wilson
September 17, 1923 - January 10, 2014
Salem - Surrounded by family, Harold passed away unexpectedly. He was born in Denver, Colorado. He married the love of his life Rosemae on May 28, 1950, and they raised their family in Salem, Oregon. Harold successfully owned his own business Western Auto/Wilson's Furniture and enjoyed many years of service as a member of the East Salem Lions Club. Retiring in 1979 at the young age of 56, he and Rosemae loved to travel and took many cruises around the world. They settled in at Country Roads R.V. Village in Yuma, AZ for nearly 20 years before returning recently back to Salem to live closer to family.
He is survived by his loving wife Rosemae, daughters Giselle Wilson Strauch (Gil), Pam Wilson Taylor (Les), sons Harold Wilson (Deone), and Mike Wilson. Duane (Dino) Wilson (Katie), LaVon Wilson Hailey (Rob), and Terry Watkins (Maryalyce). Nephews Dan (MaryJane) and Richard Schumacher. His legacy carries on with 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to either East Salem Lions Club or Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
