SALEM - Helen passed away peacefully after losing a long battle with cancer. She was born in Fargo, ND as the second of four children born to Earl and Edna Comer.
Early in her life the family moved to Salem where she met and married Allen G. Wright. Together they raised their daughter, Karen and son, Dan. Later she would become a proud and loving grandmother and great grandmother.
Helen enjoyed fishing, hunting, her flowers and gardening, dancing and country music. She loved seeing and living her children and grandchildren's accomplishments.
Helen is survived by her children, Karen Wright of Keizer and Dan Wright (Colleen) of Salem; grandchildren, Sonia (Sean) White of Colorado; Jason Wright of Salem; great grandchildren, Peyton and Parker White, of Colorado; sister, Ida (Jim) Winters of Bend and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Lloyd and Leroy Comer and uncles, aunts and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., June 30, 2011 at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
God saw she was getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her,
And whispered, "Come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched her suffer,
And saw her fade away.
Although we couldn't bear to lose her,
We could not bid her stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
