James L Davis Jr

James Lorne Davis Jr. passed away February 23, 2023 at home in Salem, Oregon surrounded
by family. He was born January 7, 1943 in Clarkston, Washington to James L. Sr. and Virginia
Davis. The family moved to Salem in 1957 and Jim graduated from North Salem high school in
1961. Jim continued to live in Salem making lifelong friends, ties to the community, and his
profession.
He married Gretchen Fenimore on July 31, 1964. They were married 42 years at the time of her
passing in 2006. He married Patrice O’Brien on October 12, 2014.
He is survived by his wife Patrice Davis; daughter Chelli Diehm (Ron), son Michael Davis
(Jennifer), daughter-in-law Laurie Davis, stepdaughter Paige Glennon (KJ); grandchildren Rhett
and Chase Diehm, MaKenna and Kylee Davis, and Marley Glennon; sister Donna Marr (Ted),
and brother Craig Davis.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Gretchen, his parents James L. Sr. and Virginia Davis
and brother Steven E. Davis.
A celebration of life will be held on April 1, 2023 at the Salem Convention Center from 1 to
4pm.
We are honored to have had him as our husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His legacy will
not be forgotten, and he will be missed every day.
