James Michael Magar

James Michael Magar June 14, 1955 - November 7, 2008 SALEM - Mike was born in Sacramento, California on June 14, 1955 to Jim and Leta Magar. He started his schooling in San Jose, California, later attending the Colorado School for the Deaf until his family moved to Salem, Oregon in 1972. He graduated high school from the Oregon School for the Deaf in 1974. Growing up, his passion was football. Mike recently moved back to Salem from Colorado, where he had been employed by the Adobe Creekside National Golf Course. He is survived by his grandmother; both parents; sister, Lee Ann Magar of Salem; son, Garth and daughter-in-law Jessica of Sherwood; daughter, Megan of Salem; and two grandchildren, Lucas and Brooklynn, also of Sherwood. Mike was a very kind, gentle and loving man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
