Janet Sue Dudley
August 5, 1945 - July 19, 2011
SALEM - Janet Sue Dudley, 65, left us July 19th 2011 after her battle with lung cancer but not before reaching her goal of 50yrs of marriage on the 8th of July.
She was born to Eugene and Coressa Mercereau August 5th 1945 in Port Angeles, Wa. Jan was the youngest of two daughters. She and her family moved around the west coast much of her childhood but her favorite place was Valsetz, Or., which she considered her hometown.
After she was married to her husband Jack Dudley in Myrtle Point, Or. in 1961 they then moved back to Valsetz, Or in 1966 to raise their two children Jackie and Jeff. They then moved back to Salem, Or. in 1976 to allow Jan to pursue her passion for real-estate. Jan and Jack then temporally moved to Roseburg, Or. for 20yrs before moving back to Salem in 2004.
Some of her hobbies included collecting miniature tea sets and building miniature dollhouses, sewing, gardening, interior design and all things real-estate and she greatly enjoyed all the interior design shows on HGTV.
Her legacy continues in her family which includes her husband Jack Dudley, her daughter Jackie Brittan, her son Jeff Dudley, her older sister Kay Guymon, her 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Jan's services will be held on July 29th at Restlawn Funeral Home beginning at 11a.m.
