John Summers "Jack" Ritchie

John Ritchie passed away at the age of 84 on September 7, 2011. Jack was born in 1927 in San Pedro, California. At the age of 17 he joined the Naval Forces. After completing his time in the service he met and married Emily. They have 5 children.
In June 1967 they moved to Salem, Oregon. He opened a service station in West Salem. Jack loved to work in his garden and the service station. He really loved his animals. In Jack's younger years he loved to golf. Jack was family oriented. He is survived by his wife Emily, and 5 children, John, David, Margaret, Melinds and Heather. He has 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 15th at 1:00 p.m. in the Restlawn Funeral Home.
