Juanita Gonzales Martinez 82Juanita Gonzales Martinez was called by the Lord on Monday, November 05, 2018. Juanita is survived by her son Raul Martinez and his wife AnneLise, son Eli Martinez and his wife Miros, and daughter Beatrice Lebo and her husband Mike, ten grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind two brothers and three sisters, as well as a host of people who endearingly call her Mom and Grandma in various ways. She is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. She is currently reunited in spirit with the love of her life, Guadalupe “Boss” Martinez, who passed away in 2009.Juanita was born on Monday, December 23, 1935, in Buda, Texas. She married Guadalupe on December 11, 1960, in San Jose, California, where they raised their family. They all eventually moved to Salem, Oregon, and remained here until their passing. Juanita enjoyed tending to her plants and raising birds. She especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, at 10:00 am., at Restlawn Memory Gardens, 201 Oak Grove Rd NW, Salem, OR 97304. A reception will follow at a location to be determined later.
