Judith Ann Fricke
June 4 1955 - June 27 2021
After a long battle with various ailments, Judy Fricke passed away peacefully on June 27. She spent most of her early life in Salem, except for a 3-year detour to Corvallis where, in 1978, she proudly received a degree in elementary education hoping to become a teacher. Those plans were put on hold in 1979 when Dan dragged her to Southern California where they lived for almost 14 years. It was there that she acquired an interest in computers and began a career in data processing and computer operations, jobs which she held the remainder of her working life. She was happy to return to the Salem area in 1993 to be closer to friends and family. She is survived by her husband Dan and bother Larry (Fern) Parker and an extended family including cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by father Kenneth Parker, mother Katherine Parker, and sister Terry Aiken. A Celebration of Life will be held at Restlawn Memory Garden 201 Oak Grove Road NW in Salem on Friday, July 9th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Judy’s two favorite charities: American Diabetes Association and the Oregon State University Foundation.
