Salem- Keith Milton Rebo passed away September 19, 2011 at his Salem residence with his wife at his side. He was born on July 14, 1923 in Comertown, Montana to George Fredrich Rebo and Almira Ruth McIntosh. He and his family moved to Aumsville, Oregon early in his life where he attended school, graduating from Aumsville High School in 1941. He then specialized in radio mechanics at Grant Union Jr. College in Sacramento, California and served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, flying as a radio operator mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1945 from the service and had the distinction of living to be the last surviving member of his 881st bomb squad. Keith worked about 30 years for the State of Oregon in the highway division as a highway and bridge engineer, retiring in 1979. Keith and his wife Gladys purchased several diet centers in Oregon and he also worked in real estate for several years. Keith loved tinkering with anything mechanical, was adamant about his bookkeeping, and prided himself in keeping a garden and preserving the produce. He also loved to hunt and fish in past years. He and his wife were active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served a mission to the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission from 1999-2001. They also visited family members in various parts of the world and loved traveling together. Keith married Roberta Smillie Clarkson and was later sealed to her in the Oakland Temple. Following her death, he met Gladys Ruth Reed and married her on April 14, 1972. He is survived by his loving wife Gladys; son, Alan Rebo; step-children, Barbara Flores, Jeff Green and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Ronald and Robert Rebo and step-children Kathy Mendius and Thomas Green. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2530 Boone Road SE in Salem with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. Mausoleum entombment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
