Kiyo Shimizu

Kiyo Shimizu passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. She was 101 years old. Kiyo was the heart and matriarch of our family. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif. in 1909 and was a 2nd generation Japanese American. Kiyo's main passion was her family and grandchildren, Nikki Rusconi, Ross Snyder, Michelle Shimizu and Ryan Shimizu. She was incredibly talented in sewing and all arts and crafts. She loved traveling, cooking and playing master's bridge. She is survived by her daughter, Margo Snyder and her son, Russ T. Shimizu and their families. She will be laid to rest in Phoenix, Ariz. where her husband is buried.
