Larry Musil 74, of Salem, died in Salem on March 18, 2015.
He was born in Chicago, IL to Alouis and Alice Musil. He served in the US Navy from 1957 - 1961. He graduated from Bethany Bible College in 1968 and received his Masters from Oregon College of Education in 1972.
Larry worked as a grocery clerk, minister, counselor, guard at OSCI and maintenance man over his lifetime. He volunteered at his church as youth leader and Sunday School teacher as well as at the Salem Union Gospel Mission. He also volunteered at the YMCA annual book sale for over 30 years. Larry loved books. He enjoyed helping others find books. If they know the author, title, or subject, he could find it. Larry married Lola Rae Selby on November 3, 1961 at the Assembly of God Church in Dallas, OR. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lola; daughters: Teresa Musil, Lalonda Musil Hansen and her husband Darrin Hansen, Carla Musil Kleint and husband Kevin Kleint; 5 grandchildren: Tyler Hansen, Micah Hansen, Rachel Kleint, Emily Kleint, and Josiah Kleint. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions can be made to Westgate Assembly of God Missions, or the Union Gospel Mission.
