Lincoln J. Coleman 10/18/1925 - 05/03/2008 SALEM - Link passed peacefully from this life Saturday May 3, 2008 at the age of 82. Lincoln was born October 18, 1925 in Atoka, Okla. to Henry and Lilly Coleman. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 - 1946. During his time in the service, he served in WWII and was stationed overseas in Normandy, France, Germany, and Italy. He married the love of his life Geraldine L. Warren in 1943. They lived in Oklahoma, Missouri, and California before settling down in Salem. Lincoln's profession was autobody and paint work. After moving to Salem, he worked at Loder Bros. He enjoyed golfing and was a member at Meadowlawn Golf Club. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed family gatherings. They all looked forward to him showing up to hand out gum, which earned him the name Papa NumNum. He liked hunting and fishing, playing craps at the casino, watching Sanford and Son and enjoying the Old Time Fiddlers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; as well as his parents; 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. Survivors include his seven children, Leroy, Don (Gloria), Kathey, Anna, Jerry, Sue (Scott), and Henry (JoElla); 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Visiting is from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Fri., May 9 with services following at 2 p.m. at Restlawn Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Renee Zeyen for her special kindness, Willamette Valley Hospice, and Providence Home Health.
