Manuela G Caudillo, age 85, died peacefully surrounded by her husband and six children on October 29th, 2024. Manuela is survived by her husband of 69 years, nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She has been beautifully welcomed in heaven by one grandchild.
Manuela was first and foremost a loving wife and mother. She loved Jesus and was a faithful servant of the Lord. She and her husband, Victor, were married for 69 years. Their relationship was a true love story, meeting when they were just children paying ball in the streets with all the neighborhood kids. They married when she was 16. After living in Texas and Minnesota, they moved to Oregon in 1964 where they remained until her passing. She was the center of her family, raising six children, dedicating herself to her kids and husband. Manuela loved caring for her flowers, feeding the finches and hummingbirds that made her yard their home, and being outside, relaxing with her husband on their patio swing. She enjoyed cooking and was often asked by her friends and family to teach them how to make her tortillas and tamales. No matter what time of day you stopped by to pay her a visit, she always had a beverage and dessert ready to offer you.
Her life was a living example of 1 Corinthians 16:14 "Let all that you do be done in Love"
