Maree Rose Agee-Fast

July 30, 1935 — February 26, 2025

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Maree Fast passed peacefully on 2/26/2025 with her daughter Julie Ann beside her. Her precious family was able to spend time with her just hours to her passing plus the many days leading up to her death. Maree was born in Dallas, Oregon on July 30, 1935 to Morris M. and Rosalyn J. (Webb) Walton, their only child. She attended Dallas schools and following the family's move to Sheridan, Oregon, she graduated with honors from Sheridan H.S. in which she was a key-note speaker.

Maree married John S. Agee in 1953 and was blessed with two children who will forever love her. In 1980, she later married Harry W. Fast, the man of her dreams who added 7 step-children, giving her the large family she always wanted.

She worked at McKinley Grade School, Master Service Center, Oregon Bank and Security Pacific, plus served as a Boy Scout Den Leader and taught Sunday School as well. She was a member of the Leslie Methodist Church and later Morningside Methodist. She enjoyed numerous hobbies: travel, camping, fishing, writing poetry, drawing, crochet, her rose garden, photography, reading, being a homemaker, excellent cook, and was an avid Blazer basketball fan; even getting a personal hug and kiss on the cheek from Terry Porter and Bill Schonely! But her favorite hobby of all was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maree was a loyal wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, life-long friend, always compassionate, a ready ear to listen without judgment 24/7, never minding the hour or how long was needed, the softest hands that never failed to comfort, plus an exquisite and beautiful smile that lit up any room. Our family knew she would always be there for us no matter what. All of us were blessed to have her in our lives.

Maree was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Fast. She is survived by her son, Brian J. Agee; daughter, Julie A. Saunders; 7 stepchildren, Diana Brydges, Kenny Fast, Dennis Fast, Tracy Fast, Karen Brawner, Darrin Fast, and Tanya Fast Coreson; along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, dear to her heart was Renay Taylor, who became like a bonus daughter, as well as sister to Julie Ann.

Maree would want to be remembered for always living for her loved ones and her reliance on God.

Maree's funeral service and celebration of life will be held at Restlawn Funeral Home, West Salem, Oregon, March 4th, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
