SEQUIM, WASH. - Margaret G. Kuper, 94, passed away on May 5, 2012 in Sequim, Washington. She was born on July, 29, 1917 in Norma, North Dakota to Louis & Elizabeth Reischke. She moved with her family to Salem, Oregon from North Dakota in 1937. She married Arnold Kuper in November 1940. Margaret lived in Salem until 2008 when she moved to Sequim, Washington to be near her daughter Gwen.
In addition to spending most of her life as a full-time Mom, Margaret held jobs at Haskin & Denton Insurance Co., Willamette University business office, and the Conservative Baptist Association of Oregon. She was an active member of Halbert Memorial Baptist Church for 30 years and of Salem First Baptist Church for 34 years. Throughout her life she was devoted to teaching and working wherever needed in her church. Margaret will always be remembered for her warm and welcoming heart and the always present smile on her face.
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband Arnold who passed away in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Sondra and husband Robert Jacoby of Santa Barbara, Calif.; daughter Gweneth Moore of Sequim, Wash.; grandchildren, Daniel Moore of Marysville, Wash.; Deborah Moore & husband Dean Moody of Seattle, Wash.; Ryan Davies of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; and Jennifer and husband David Britton of Scottsdale, Ariz.; great grandchildren, Alexander & Eva Britton; and sister Maudie Jane Huff of Silverton.
Private services for family will be held at a later date.
