Margaret Palodichuk

Margaret Palodichuk, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, left to be with our Lord on November 21, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born March 29, 1930, to the late George and Pearl Pasicznyk in Snow, North Dakota where she was raised on their farm. Margaret is preceded in death by 14 of her 17 brothers and sisters.

Margaret married her late husband Joseph Palodichuk on May 6, 1950, in Portland, Oregon. They settled in Salem where they raised their family and owned and operated Empire Nursery. Margaret was a seamstress and enjoyed many hobbies, with her favorites being gardening, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was well known for her famous pierogi and many other of her ethnic dishes. Margaret loved to have family gatherings and enjoyed making everyone a warm meal, and if ever you wanted to learn how to make something she was in the kitchen getting the ingredients ready!

Margaret is survived by her children Gary (Donna) Palodichuk, Lori Palodichuk, and Jill (Dennis) Bell, her grandchildren Carmen (Mike) Rogers, Amanda Bell, and Ian Bell, and her great-grandchild Mac Schuetz.

Margaret's smile and love will be missed by many.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Creek who assisted her during this past year, Dr. John Daniels, and especially Dr. Wallace Lai for the care he provided to Margaret during the last several years of her life.
