SALEM - Marjorie Ethel Bergen, 82, passed away on October 11, 2007 in Salem. She was born September 26, 1925 in Redelm, S.D. She married Abel Bergen on December 14, 1946 in Dallas. Marjorie was a Mother and housewife. She attended Court Street Christian Church and was active in Marion County Extension Service and Marion County Elections. Her hobbies included travel (snowbird), sewing, crafts, family games, and roller skating in earlier years. Marjorie was preceeded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother, and a son. She is survived by husband, Abel Bergen; children, Janis Worrall of Newberg, Patti Scholder of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Richard Bergen of Tigard; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, James and Sally Day of Klamath Falls; and sisters, Janette A. and Landon Bergen of Salem, and Audrey L. Griffin of Dallas. Visitation will be 12 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 15 at Restlawn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, also at Restlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 201 Oak Grove Road NW, Salem. Arrangements are by Restlawn Funeral Home.
