Martha L. Guenther was born on December 4, 1910 in Bismarck, North Dakota the daughter of Peter and Helen Fadenrecht Loewen. She attended school in North Dakota before moving with her family to Oregon in 1933. In 1936 Martha married Harvey Harold Guenther in Dallas, Oregon. The family lived in Salem for 39 years before Harvey's death, after which Martha moved to Antioch, California. She moved to Dallas, Oregon in 1998. Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Harvey, and one son Robert G. Guenther. Along with 12 brothers and sisters.
Martha is survived by a son, Donald D. Guenther, Grandchildren: Holly, Donald, Kristin, Bryan (Kelly), Kevin and Darren (Nicole), Great grandchildren: Aiden, Amelia and Carsten, Sister: Esther Tuttle, Brother: David Guenther (Esther), Daughters-in-law: Linda Guenther and Linda Aab.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. May 25th in the Dallas Retirement Center Chapel in Dallas, Oregon. Private interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Restlawn Funeral Home in Salem, Oregon. www.restlawnfh.com
