Martin Carl "Marty" Cotten

July 5, 1947 — June 7, 2015

Martin Carl Cotten, "Dragon Man," died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 after years of battling COPD. He was 67 years young and now resides with his parents Maynard B. Cotten and Mildred Cotten (Rutherford) in Heaven.
He retired after working many years as an event coordinator at Fariview Training Center and as a professional clown "Sassafras." He was an avid Scrabble and POGO player, and loved his late dog Ginger Bleu. He enjoyed his hippie years, writing, drawing and hacky sack.
He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle G. Cotten (Smith) and Tina M. Sturgeon. His five grandchildren: Christopher Smith, Kyle Smith, Bonnie Vasquez (Sturgeon), Troy Sturgeon, Ruthanne Sturgeon, and his girlfriend Maureen Morris.
A special thank you to his caretakers, Terry LaMotte, Helene Cotter, Larry Bostwick Jr., Meagan Bostwick and Kim for making his final days comfortable.
