Mary Elizabeth Boehmer

Mary E. Boehmer left to be with the Lord on July 5, 2010. She was born in Marion, Ore. to Louis and Kathleen Petersen on October 8, 1924 the ninth of fourteen children. She was raised in Turner and lived most of her life in Salem before moving to Houston, Texas to be with her daughter and grandchildren. She married the love of her life, Stanley Marvin Boehmer in Vancover, Wash. on August 27,1943 and they were married for 48 years before his passing in 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Foreman-Lee and son-in-law, Richard Lee (Houston, TX); sister and best friend, Ella Buchholz (Keizer, OR); three wonderful grandchildren, Ashley Roberts (Houston, TX), Emily Foreman (Lubbock, TX), Austin Foreman (Houston, TX); and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a caring and loving woman who enjoyed spoiling those she loved. She was a great cook and loved to bake homemade goodies. When she was not spoiling them she also enjoyed bowling and bingo. She will be greatly missed! A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2010 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Salem, OR.
