MaryAnn was a joyful person who loved her family above all else. She relished being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her four great-grandsons brought her endless joy. She loved to sing, having majored in voice in college. She would often wake her children and grandchildren by singing to them in the morning.
MaryAnn was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She attended Salem High School and Willamette University, where she met Bob Siddoway, the love of her life. They were married for nearly 71 years, until his death in 2017. They raised their three children in Salem, providing them an active, outdoor lifestyle. She loved spending time outside and the entire family enjoyed skiing, sailing, hiking, camping, swimming, and gardening together.
MaryAnn volunteered at the Salem Family YMCA and Camp Silver Creek, receiving the Camp Silver Creek Alumni Association’s Heart & Soul Award in 2018 for her years of dedication. She was an active member of PEO, Chapter BQ. She volunteered in many capacities at Capital Manor over the years, where she happily lived her last 23 years of life.
MaryAnn was a playful and optimistic person, who loved spending time with people. We are all better for knowing her.
MaryAnn is predeceased by her husband, Bob (2017) and her eldest son, Dave (2020). She is survived by her children Richard Siddoway, Molly Siddoway King (Jeff King), and grandchildren Melissa Lindley (Michael), Emily Nisbet (Geoff), Katie Siddoway (Tony Primozich), and Scott Siddoway, as well as 4 great-grandsons (Conor, Oliver, Ike, and Callum).
A celebration of life for MaryAnn will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Capital Manor Auditorium. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Salem YMCA Camp Silver Creek, Capital Manor Foundation or Willamette Vital Health (hospice).
