Michael Allen Barnett was born July 22, 1960 in Paris, France to Mareda McChesney Barnett, father Forrest Jeremiah Barnett, and his sister Sarah Katherine. After his parents divorce Mike, his sister Sarah Katherine and his Mom lived in the Sacramento area of California. Sarah who was ten ears older moved to Ohio to be married, leaving their Mom and Mike to meet Richard Bull. The family of three moved on to Kirkland, Washington.
Redmond, Washington is where Mike spent his teenage years with his best friend Ken Kunz, and graduated High School. Ken and Mike stayed close and raised their families in constant contact with each other until Ken's death February 15, 2023.
Mike met his wife Tina Riddle in December of 1982. They were married July 23, 1983. Jaime Marie was born January 29, 1984, Aaron Michael on March 19, 1985, and Amber Lee on September 13, 1986, on June 24, 2014, Andrew Kevin was adopted into our family.
Mike and Tina lived in Washington for a few years where Mike became an Entrepreneur with Ray Gosk and B&G Security was formed. In 1988 Mike became aware that he may have an opportunity to work at the Trinity County Sheriff's Office, in Trinity County California. Mike was hired as a Dispatcher. He had a natural talent for Law Enforcement he quickly rose in rank to Corrections, then became a Deputy Sheriff. Another dream quickly came to Mike as he was appointed as a K-9 handler with his partner Marco. Mike and Marco quickly became the top arresting officers in Narcotic offenses for several years.
Mike provided passion, devotion and diligence to every endeavor he chose. His latest passion was shown for the Polk County Casa program. Mike became the Director of the program on a volunteer basis. Mike also provided critical information to continue funding the program to the Board of Commissioners of Dallas, Board of Directors for CASA and several sponsorships that he was able to partner to fund the CASA program. He participated in EVERY event that Polk County CASA hosted, including City Fair booths recruiting Volunteers for this program. Mike also provided training for Volunteer recruits two-three times per year.
Michael is welcomed in heaven, by our heavenly Father, his Mother, Mareda; Father, Buzz (Forrest); Stepfather, Richard;
Neice, Sunsei; His partner Marco; and Daughter, Jaime Marie Rehman. Michael is survived by his wife, Tina; Sister, Sarah Spark (John) Sons Aaron (Sasha) and Andrew; Daughter Amber (Justin), Grandchildren, Aurora, Cade, Taya, Gage and Keenan.
He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Several cousins on the east and west coasts.
His last requests "Take care of the Children, and "make sure the puppies are with me" Marco, Jack, Gandolf and Ellie.
