Norma I Scroggins
June 12, 1933 - March 20, 2022
Norma “Dodie” Scroggins passed away peacefully in her sleep in Salem Oregon.
Dodie was born in Fort Riley Kansas to J.R. and Bessie (Allen) Inman. She was the middle child of three and raised on a farm, attending a one room school house and graduated from Vermillion High School in Vermillion Kansas. Dodie married Eugene Clark in 1952 and they had four daughters while living in Chicago Illinois, moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1958. This marriage ended in 1967. She was married to Larry Scroggins from 1969 - 1996. She relocated to Salem Oregon in 1981. Dodie worked as a bookkeeper until retiring and taking on babysitting her first four great grandchildren. Family is where she was the happiest and leaves behind many favorite memories and stories.
Preceding Norma in death are her parents, J.R. and Bessie Inman, sister, Virginia Smith, daughter Terry Taylor, grandson, Ted Taylor and son in law, Carlos Quihuis.
She is survived by a brother, Allan Inman, daughters, Patty Clark, Debbie (Jim) Ehnes and Rita Quihuis. She was “Mama Dodie” to Carter (Vickie) Clark and Paula Godfrey and “Gram” to 14 grandchildren and 20 great grand children.
Norma’s final resting place will be Restlawn Cemetery in Salem Oregon.
