Patricia Elizabeth Savory was born in San Jose, California. Her parents divorced, and she was raised by her father. “Pat” attended schools in San Jose and enlisted in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in 1949, where she served as a switchboard operator at Camp Stoneman in California. Following her discharge in 1951, she returned to San Jose until she moved to Vermont in 1961, where she co-operated a boarding kennel for dogs and cats. Later she moved to Florida and then to Alabama, where she lived for twenty-four years.
Due to partial vision loss, Pat moved to Salem in the fall of 1995 and spent the remainder of her life here. She enjoyed music, her beloved pets, and chocolate. She was a member of The American Legion Pioneer Post 149 and First Congregational Church UCC of Salem. She is survived by her spouse, Barbara Hosier, and cousins in California.
