Pauline Elizabeth Smith-Mcdonald

February 24, 1912 — July 9, 2009

Pauline was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. to Frank and Senee (Batie) Thompson, one of 7 children. She met and married James Smith in 1927 and had five children. She moved to Oregon with her family in 1957. After James' death she met and married Carroll McDonald. Both husbands and her three sons Paul, Charles and Raymond preceded her in death. Pauline always said she never met a stranger. She loved dolls and from her youth she collected them. At one time she had over 400. Pauline's final years where filled with family and friends. She loved to tell stories and sing hymns. Pauline was the keeper of memories, the maker of everyday miracles, and had a smile that made each day a little brighter. The world is a more beautiful place because of her. Pauline is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Juanita Vaughn and Louise (John) Douglas; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Restlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
